Social Worker Honored for
Professionalism and Dedication
Julie Byrne of New Rochelle, a social worker at Jewish Home Lifecare/Sarah Neuman Center, was honored by UJA-Federation of Westchester for her “dedication, attention beyond the call of duty, her advocacy for at-home services for rehabilitation patients, and her expertise as a resource for co-workers.”
Byrne has been on staff at the 300-bed nursing home and rehabilitation center in Mamaroneck since 1989. She is assigned to the short-term subacute rehabilitation unit.
She earned her Master’s degree in Health Care Systems Management and her Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology at Iona College and has been working in long term care settings as a social worker since 1981.
The award was presented recently at the 13th annual Westchester Communal Professionals Reception.
