Bayside Travel Celebrates 50 Years

On October 28, 2010, Bayside Travel celebrated a milestone event – 50 years in business – with a gala event at the Pelham Country Club. Barbara Nichuals and her staff hosted over 100 clients and travel industry partners.

The company originated in Bayside, Queens in 1960. Nichuals has owned Bayside Travel for 23 of the 50 years it has been in business. Over the past 7 years, she has acquired Gramatan Travel, Eastchester Travel, Days Travel and Earlfield Travel. Bayside Travel currently has two locations (Larchmont and Bronxville). The companies are proud members of Virtuoso, an invitation only network of the top travel agencies, the finest travel providers, and premier destinations in the world.

The anniversary event was a great success. Many Bayside and Gramatan Travel clients walked away with trips to exotic destinations. According to Nichuals, the evening was the pinnacle of her career; a very proud moment. She was specially honored by Virtuoso, whose representative flew in specifically to attend the event, with an award for orchestrating travel dreams for 50 years
