BID Family "Snow Day!" at Library

Children and their parents enjoyed an afternoon of ice and snow-related activities – and the warmth of the New Rochelle Public Library, at the BID Family “Snow Day” on January 30th.

Families created different kinds of snowmen crafts to take home, as well as homemade ice cream to savor. The culinary-science experiment involved shaking a creamy mixture held in a sealed plastic bag, surrounded by ice. A showing of the animated film, “Snowman”, based on the charming children’s book by Raymond Briggs, topped off the fun-filled program for the 100 or so participants.

The BID Family Days are made possible through a partnership of the New Rochelle Downtown BID (Business Improvement District) with the New Rochelle Public Library, the City School District and the Department of Parks & Recreation.
